In considering God’s acts, we will look at miracle, followed by providence, creation, and eternal decrees, in that order. In the larger plan of part 3, this chapter will discuss miracle. Chapters 8 and 9 will deal with providence. Together, miracle and providence constitute God’s actions in history. Chapter 10 will deal with creation, God’s act at the beginning of history. Chapter 11 will treat his eternal decrees, actions that are “before” and “above” history. After a discussion of God’s nature
